In 1934, Victor H. Green published the first ever Negro Motorist Negro Book. During a time of segregation, the book served as a tourist guide for African-Americans to find businesses that served them. From restaurants and hotels, to clothing stores and doctors, this book helped African-Americans find safe havens and businesses that were open to us. Now more than ever, Victor H. Green’s vision is needed in the black community in a time when our social climate is at risk.
The 2nd Annual Neo Green Book titled Faith in Community is scheduled to be released in late October 2017 right in time for the giving and spending season. This year we expand our reach beyond Chicago to include the midwest and southern states along with interviews, best practices, models, and over 2,000 black owned businesses and organizations that we should be investing our time, money and resources back into. Presale purchases for $7.99 (plus shipping) can be made until September 30th. You can also buy the book at wholesale (10+). If you chose to do so, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
